New Nomos Series: Political Discourses

We would like to announce a new book series that might be of interest for the list:

Book series title: Political Discourses
Publisher: Nomos
Editors: Eva Herschinger, Judith Renner, Alexander Spencer

The concept of discourse is today central to much of the research conducted in the social sciences and humanities, which is interested in the construction of social reality through language and symbolic practices. While in the 1980s research on discourse was marginal, it has since become a central part of numerous disciplines. The book series offers a forum for researchers who are particularly interested in the political functions of discourse such as the relationship between discourse and power, the drawing of social and political frontiers, mechanisms of exclusion, identity constructions or the creation or marginalization of political and policy options.

The series is open to research monographs, edited volumes, PhD and exceptional master's theses from different disciplines which are written in German or English. All contributions will go through a peer-review process.
