NODEM 2014 Conference & NODEM EXPO
December 1-3, 2014
Warsaw, Poland

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The aim of the conference is to bring together museum and heritage 
professionals (galleries, archives, libraries and museums), innovation 
experts (universities, research and technology transfer centres, 
start-ups) and creative industries to enable discussion on the potential 
of dialogue and collaboration between architecture, experience design, 
strategies of interpretation and ICT. NODEM 2014 Conference aims to 
reach the following objectives:

    * To examine a variety of challenges and opportunities that newly 
built or renovated museums and other culture-historical institutions are 
facing to stay competitive in engaging today’s visitors.
    * To explore interaction modes between exhibition spaces, 
interpretative content and digital?strategies in the context of visitor 
engagement at cultural and heritage institutions.

NODEM 2014 – Engaging Spaces is part of the NODEM Nordic Digital 
Excellence in Museums conference series under the stewardship of the 
Digital Heritage Center Sweden AB.

    * Digital Support – Archiving, Documenting, Preservation, 
Visualization, Recreating Tangible and Intangible Heritage?
    * Virtual Museum

SUBMISSIONS
NODEM 2014 invites contributions in five categories:

Abstract Submission Deadline: April 30, 2014

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS AND DIGITAL REPOSITORY
Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to contribute to the 
Conference Proceedings publication by submitting their research papers 
and project descriptions in the full version. The papers will be 
reviewed and selected by our conference committee to be published in the 
Proceedings of NODEM 2014 Conference. In addition, the papers and 
presentations will be published on the NODEM digital repository 
http://repo.nodem.org/

NODEM EXPO
NODEM 2014 would like to invite designers, curators, exhibitors and 
companies to showcase their products and services designed for 
galleries, heritage sites and museums in the form of demos, poster 
presentations, and exhibits. The exhibition space will be arranged at 
Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów. The NODEM EXPO will showcase 
the latest, cutting-edge products, exhibitions and services for museums, 
galleries and heritage sites. The exhibition will be open throughout the 
duration of the conference. Participation in the exhibition will only be 
charged with the conference fee.
