Call for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships 2014 (IF)
Publication date: 12 March 2014
Deadline: 11 September 2014 at 17.00.00 Brussels time

The Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science welcomes expressions of interest and prospective applications for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships from 2014.
Current Areas of Departmental Research include the following foci:
Knowledge Construction - shifting relations between knowledge producers and users Mediated Political Agency - changing relations between the media and their forms, subjects and modalities of political and civic agency Cultures and Identities - belonging and community on all scales from the local to the transnational Governing Mediated Environments - technologies, structures and processes of media and communication nationally and internationally Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships support the mobility of researchers within and beyond Europe - as well as helping to attract the best foreign researchers to work in the EU. The grant usually covers two years' salary, a mobility allowance, research costs and overheads for the host institution. Individual researchers submit proposals for funding in liaison with their planned host organisation. Proposals are judged on their research quality, the researcher's future career prospects and the support offered by the host organisation. Fellows can also spend part of the fellowship elsewhere in Europe if this would boost impact, and those restarting their career in Europe benefit from special eligibility conditions. Click here for further information as to how to apply and relevant criteria. Please contact Dr Damian Tambini, Department Director of Research, (D.Tambini /at/ lse.ac.uk) or Alex Challis, Research Administrator in the first instance if you would like to discuss further or require any further information.
