Assistant Professor in Latin@ Media Studies
The Department of Communication Studies invites applicants for a
tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Media Studies position. The
successful candidate will have training in Latin@ Media and Communication
Studies and the ability to conduct research and teach undergraduate and
graduate courses in Latin@ media (including Spanish-language programming).
We welcome candidates with scholarly interests in any aspects of media
production, representation or reception. Expertise in digital media is a
plus. A Ph.D. in Communication or related program is required by time of
appointment.
The Communication Studies department is comprehensive, growing, collegial,
and the largest major in the College of Arts and Letters. The department
has concentrations in media studies, human and organizational
communication, and public relations. Our students and faculty are active
in community service and scholarly/creative activities, and have won
numerous awards in both areas.
