VLV’s 31th Annual Autumn Conference

We are delighted to announce that James Heath, BBC Director of Policy, 
will be speaking on the challenges facing public service broadcasting 
from the BBC's perspective at VLV's 31st Annual Autumn Conference:  
Public Service Broadcasting - reframing the debate on Tuesday 18 
November.    He will join Dan Brooke from Channel 4 and Raymond Snoddy 
for the opening session of the conference.
BBC Trustee Richard Ayre will join the panel of  Sir Christopher Bland, 
Will Wyatt and Professor Steven Barnett for the final session of the day 
- Rona Fairhead's in-tray  - to discuss their agenda for the new BBC 
Chairman.
The other sessions of the conference are Gwyneth Williams, Controller, 
BBC Radio 4 and 4 Extra and Paul Robinson, Creative Media Partners and 
former chief executive of The Radio Academy, looking at the prospects 
for radio, chaired by Robin Lustig.
Phil Laven, Chairman of the DVB Project and former Technical Director of 
the European Broadcasting Union will look at changing technologies and 
the implications for viewers and listeners with Jon Drori CBE, an expert 
in technology and audience behaviour,  chaired by Professor Steven Barnett.
