Postgraduate Studentships in Arts and Humanities and AHRC PhD Studentship Opportunities,
University of Reading

The University of Reading invites applications from well qualified students for Doctoral studentships to commence in 2011.

Funding available
University of Reading Studentships providing funding for full or part time study. These are available in all disciplines in the arts and humanities. These awards are open to application from UK, EU and international students who satisfy certain residency criteria. They provide a maintenance grant (in line with the national level set by the UK Research Councils) and fees at the appropriate rate.

AHRC Doctoral Studentships are available in the following disciplines:
?       Archaeology
?       Dance, Drama and Performing Arts
?       English Language and Literature
?       History
?       History of Art, Architecture and Design
?       Italian Language and Culture
?       Philosophy
These awards provide UK students with both fees and a subsistence allowance; Students from EU countries other than the UK are eligible for fees-only awards.

About research at the University
The University of Reading has an international reputation for the excellence of its research. Its Graduate Schools provide state-of-the-art facilities which complement excellent dedicated training and research support. Other funding: bursaries
We are also offering a number of fees-only bursaries for both Masters and PhD in all arts and humanities subjects at the University of Reading. Many Schools and Departments also offer supplementary funding in the form of bursaries and opportunities for teaching and research support.
