***CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: MA in CULTURAL PRODUCTION***

AN INTERNATIONAL AND TRANSDISCIPLINARY MASTER PROGRAM

at the University of Salzburg in cooperation with the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.

For more details please visit <http://www.w-k.sbg.ac.at/ma-cp>http://www.w-k.sbg.ac.at/ma-cp.

Applications and all the supporting documents for the 2011/ 2012 academic year must be received by

January 30, 2011; in case spaces are still available late applications will be accepted by April 30, 2011.

The MA in Cultural Production is a 2,5 year program, and all the sessions are held in English language. It is open to local and international students. The program is part time and consists of 5 semesters with blocked sessions held in Salzburg. The trans-disciplinary curriculum is laid out at the intersections of art practice, cultural and communication studies, and a social science approach to economy. Cluster topics in relation to Space & Location, Vision & Change and Networks & Decentralisation allow for specialisation in one of the central fields of cultural production. Depending on personal interests, students will propose their own project ideas, which will be further developed and implemented in their contextual complexity throughout the program course. The MA program also includes a 3-week internship, individual coaching and a Master thesis.

Selected lecturers are (amongst others): Hildegund Amanshauser, Jens Badura, Annette Baldauf, Ute Meta Bauer, Diedrich Diederichson, Elisabeth Klaus, Monika Mokre, Carmen Mörsch, Nicky du Plessis, Evangelia Psychogiopoulou.

The program tuition is 2500 EUR per semester. Each semester must be paid in advance. Partial Scholarships are offered.

Taking into consideration that students of the 2011/ 2012 academic year will need time to prepare their travel logistics, such as receiving the appropriate visa, finding housing in Salzburg, and possibly applying for additional fellowships, the admission process will be carried out in two phases:

*Phase 1: Starting December 15, 2010 you may apply for the MA in Cultural Production. The program will start in October 2011. The applications will be accepted until January 30, 2011. You will be confirmed of your acceptance to the program by February 20, 2011.

* Phase 2: If spaces are still available, more applications will be accepted until April 30, 2011. You will be confirmed of your acceptance to the program by May 20, 2011.
