A Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Media and Communication Studies
at the Centre for Media, Communication and Journalism, Lund University.
The post can be held for two years and is intended for young researchers.
Job description
This position involves 80 % research in media and communication
studies and 20 % teaching.
Qualifications
In order to be eligible a candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent
international doctoral degree. A PhD or equivalent degree in media
and communication studies or another field that is relevant to the
post is a particularly useful qualification.
The department will prioritise candidates whose research has been
carried out in one or more of the following research fields: popular
culture, gender or health and democracy.
A broad methodological knowledge of the analysis of mediated
communication, its uses and consequences is desirable.
Further emphasis will be placed on the candidate's international profile.
For post-doctoral positions, candidates must have passed their PhD
examinations not more than three years before the application period
expires. This three year limit can be extended if parental leave,
illness or equivalent events have occurred since the PhD was obtained.

Lund University has a policy of individually negotiated salaries.
Applicants may state their desired salary in the application.
The Swedish National Archives regulations stipulate that documents
submitted with an application may be destroyed two years after a
final decision on employment has been taken (RA-FS 2004:1). An
applicant must apply to have the documents returned.
