The International Journal of Digital Television is a new publication by Intellect (<http://www.intellectbooks.co.uk/journals/view-Journal,id=175>http://www.intellectbooks.co.uk/journals/view-Journal,id=175). Edited by Michael Starks at Oxford University (<(m.starks /at/ ntlworld.htm)>(m.starks /at/ ntlworld.com)), the journal will bring together and share the work of academics, policy-makers and practitioners in the field of digital television across the globe. Content will range from national experiences of switching off analogue TV to digital television's convergence with the Internet and telecommunications.

The journal invites contributions on subjects such as:

   * The politics and economics of digital switchover
   * The commercial background to technical standard-setting
* Innovations, including mobile TV, Internet TV, and hybrid on-demand services
   * Audience trends and their significance for broadcaster funding
   * Digital television and developing nations
   * Global services and national cultures

Potential contributors should make contact with the Editor as soon as possible, naming their topic or sending a short abstract. Thank you.
