Celebrating a century of action (1908-2008), the
International Women's Day and heading towards 2015
The main message of Millennia 2015 is to enhance
the driving force of women for the benefit of
humanity, with foresight as the method and the
information society as the context. The objective
is to develop a positive vision of the future for
all women in the world: Horizon 2015.

The Millennia 2015 process will evolve through
three events. The first, organized in 2008 in
Liège, focusses on the Transfer of Information:
exchange, collection, and analysis of data to
asses the current situation and to synthesise the challenges.

The second session (working on the Knowledge
Processes) is planned in Paris in 2011 (at
UNESCO), and the third session (construction of
Intelligence Platforms) in New York in 2015 (at the United Nations).

Led by its Scientific Committee and mobilised by
speakers coming from all continents as well as
from the United Nations, Millennia 2015 will
structure its work from local to global level,
activating networks addressing Internet
Governance, Foresight and those related to enhancing women's rights.

Millennia 2015 will organise the issues in
plenary sessions (P) and in workshops (W):

P0- Women as actors of development for the global challenges;

P1- Access to information and knowledge: enhancing capacities for women;

P2- The long-term challenges for women assessed by the Millennium Project;

P3- Cultural and linguistic diversity, women and
the governance of the Internet;

P4- Women actors of development and change, Women architects of the future.
