>The Irish Media Research Network announces its third annual conference on 15

>Much of Ireland¹s recent social and economic change has been broadly
>positive. Inward migration has lent Irish society a new diversity and
>energy, while notions of national and cultural identities have, arguably,
>become more fluid. Nevertheless, other more negative aspects of Ireland¹s
>transformation, such as perceived crises in health and criminal justice,
>have stimulated a Rnational questioning¹ about who the Irish are and where
>the country is going. Communications media have played an important but
>sometimes subtle role in these transformations. They have simultaneously
>shaped and revealed this uncertain landscape. This conference aims to allow
>researchers to share perspectives and findings on all aspects of Irish media
