>The two events will explore the relation between theory and practice in
>media teaching in higher education.    Practice in this context refers

>and not to educational practice more generally.       The events are
>designed to examine the tensions between the critical and vocational
>dimensions of
>media study.

>The first day will focus broadly on the problems that grow out of this
