SLOVENIA: COMPETITION POLICY AND THE CHALLENGES OF ENLARGEMENT
Brussels, Ljubljana, December 16-20, 2002
Organised by the European Journalism Centre, Maastricht
With the support of the European Commission's DG Enlargement
The development of an efficient competition policy based on
the rules of the European Union will be the main theme of
this seminar organised in Brussels and Ljubljana. The seminar
will look at how Slovenian business will compete in an enlarged
Europe and what investment opportunities companies in EU Member
States can expect in Slovenia.
The course consists of a one-day seminar in Brussels to meet
key representatives from DG Enlargement and three days in Ljubljana,
Slovenia, to discuss in depth important enlargement-related issues
with representatives from the European Commission's delegation
and local decision-makers.
This seminar is principally for journalists from Ireland, Luxembourg, Italy,
Austria and Finland however applications from other EU Member States'
journalists who express a special interest will also be welcomed.
