Fri Jul 14 23:14:06 GMT 2023
Intellect is pleased to announce that Journal of Applied Journalism &
Media Studies 12.2 is out now.
Special Issue: ‘Communicating chaos: New perspectives on VUCA’
This Special Issue revisits the almost forty-year-old acronym for
volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) and
investigates how present experiences of chaos may benefit from the
systems-thinking approaches of VUCA. The Special Issue seeks to make an
argument for further development of VUCA models addressing the paucity
of tools in existing chaos and complexity in communication strategies.

Aims & Scope
The Journal of Applied Journalism & Media Studiesis a peer-reviewed
journal that aims to bridge the gap between media and communication
research and actors within media production, i.e. broadcasters,
newspapers, radio, Internet-based media outlets, etc. It is devoted to
research with an applied angle in which a clear link is made between the
prevalent theories and paradigms media and communication scholars work
with, and the real world where media and communication activities take
place.
This title is indexed with Scopus and the Web of Science’s Emerging
Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
