Sonali Srivastav is happy to share that the book ‘Film, Cinema and
Movies: How the Internet is shaping the Entertainment Industry’ has been
published by HP Hamilton. The book is an insight into the Hindi film
industry, from the perspective of audience, makers, marketers and
scholars. Trying to bridge the gap between academia and industry, the
book has been reviewed by Mr. Dibaker Banerjee, renowned Hindi film
director and Prof. Nageshwar Rao, VC, IGNOU.

Dr. Sonali Srivastav is Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion
Communication, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Panchkula,
Haryana, India. In the past, she has worked in the media production
industry in various capacities like camera person, scriptwriter, editor
and producer for documentaries, TV shows and news. As a Ph.D. scholar at
IGNOU, she worked in the area of web narratology and was a visiting
fellow at the Summer Doctoral Program at the Oxford Internet Institute.
A gold medallist from AJK MCRC Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, she
currently teaches subjects related to audio visual art forms at NIFT.
Dr. Shikha Rai is Associate Professor in the School of Journalism and
New Media Studies,
IGNOU, Delhi, India. She has an experience of over fifteen years in
teaching and research. She is a transnational higher education media and
communications educator and her programmes are offered in eight
countries through the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Within
India, her lectures are presented on Gyan Darshan and Gyan Vani and on
social media handles of IGNOU. She has been awarded the Commonwealth of
Learning Fellowship. She is an avid researcher and trainer with many
international publications to her credit. She is based in New Delhi.
