Job Summary 	
The Integrated Media Department at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach broadcast television and video production (3/3 load) beginning Fall 2023. Expectations include teaching undergraduate courses in multi-camera studio production (primarily in the GUTV studio), broadcast journalism, and video production. Ability to teach the department introductory course, Media Literacy, is desirable, as well as the upper-division Emerging Media course that focuses on creating and distributing content across media platforms. Essential Functions 	

Teach three courses per semester with topics covering all aspects of beginning through advanced studio production, including producing, directing, scriptwriting, multi-camera operations, editing, switching, sound, graphics and relevant software
    Teach proper usage of field broadcasting cameras and audio equipment
Support the department and university through advising, service and other forms of academic citizenship
    Maintain an active record of professional development

Minimum Qualifications 	

    PhD, MFA, MA or MS in broadcast journalism or related field
At least 2 years professional and/or teaching experience with multi-camera TV studio production
    Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level
Demonstrated ability to support and mentor underrepresented and underserved students and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Demonstrated ability to teach department’s entry-level course in Media Literacy Evidence of ability to teach media content creation across emerging and new platforms Evidence of ability to teach writing across multiple audio and visual platforms
