We are looking to appoint a dynamic and adaptable Course Director for our Media and Communications BA to lead and deliver teaching, learning and assessment on our popular Media and Communications BA course. As well as having a track record of academic leadership, you will be a digital humanities specialist, firmly based in and with a strong background in cultural and/or media studies.

The School of Media and Performing Arts is a vibrant creative community providing award winning opportunities to UG and PG students in film and photography, music and acting, digital and immersive media as well as journalism and media communications. As we develop new courses and activities we are seeking to appoint an energetic and adaptable academic keen to innovate in course development and in their own research practice.  Applicants should either have a PhD in a relevant area of research or a significant track record of high-profile industry experience and degree level and professional qualifications.

Alongside teaching and learning, successful applicants will also need to demonstrate an ability to contribute to research or scholarship, and /or enterprise through their academic or industry experience in the subject area. Those without a teaching qualification will need to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE training and / or gain HEA fellowship.
