We invite you to join Coventry University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities - at a particularly exciting time. The Faculty has always championed collaborative working to innovative approaches and provided access to leading-edge resources. In summer 2022 it will do so from an outstanding new Faculty building that will push the boundaries of how we create and innovate across a range of exciting disciplines.

Within the Faculty, the School of Media and Performing Arts is an award-winning, creative hub that has a history of innovation and industry collaboration, and which offers highly-regarded undergraduate and post graduate courses in film, photography and media production, music and acting, journalism and communication, digital and immersive media.

We are looking to appoint an adaptable specialist with a strong background in cultural and / or media studies to deliver teaching, learning and assessment on our BA Media Communications and our MA in Communication, Culture and Media. You will be comfortable and experienced in leading or delivering modules with a practical component as well as those that are theory based. In addition, you will be passionate about the future of the digital humanities, about education and employability and committed to developing industry focussed opportunities that enhance the student experience

Applicants will have a PhD or a significant track record of high-profile industry experience or professional practice in a relevant field, alongside degree level qualifications and subject knowledge.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing innovation and improvement in pedagogy; those without a teaching qualification will need to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA fellowship.

Successful applicants will also demonstrate an ability to contribute to research or scholarship, and /or enterprise through their academic or industry experience in the subject area. There will be opportunities to join our Research Institute for Creative Cultures and contribute to our high-profile Enterprise and Innovation projects.
