The School of Arts & Social Sciences is an internationally excellent

The Department of Journalism is a leader in its field, with an

Department provides an academic environment for the study and practice 
of journalism in one of the world’s media capitals.

Responsibilities

The Department is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as Lecturer 
in Journalism to conduct world-leading or internationally excellent 
research and to contribute to the delivery of the Department’s 
undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a PhD, ideally in journalism studies; 
a research profile indicative of their potential to produce 
world-leading or internationally excellent research and to make 
successful applications to the UKRI and other funding bodies. You will 
have experience of working collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary 
teams and be enthusiastic about supporting and mentoring students at 
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The successful candidate will undertake administrative and management 
activities and the potential to undertake leadership roles in future.
