*Position Description*

The Department of Communication invites applications for a tenure track position to begin fall 2019. We seek candidates who specialize in critical and cultural approaches to media studies with an emphasis on media ethics and/or diverse representations in media along with demonstrated teaching that bridges critical media studies perspectives with creative practice. A Ph.D. along with a body of scholarly work is required; professional experience in the field of new media, broadcast journalism, digital or web design, or a related field is desirable. The teaching responsibility is nine courses over two years. As a University committed to the teacher-scholar ideal, Wake Forest expects excellent teaching at all levels, a sustained commitment to student and community engagement, and an active research agenda.
