The role

Course title: BA Contemporary Media Cultures

We seek an enterprising scholar with an interest in media cultures to co-lead on a Year 1 unit titled ‘Identity and Difference’. The unit is a compulsory for our first year cohort of just under 40 students. It runs on Fridays all day for 10-weeks in the Spring term. The role requires both lecturing and seminar teaching and also the marking and assessing of coursework. There will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the development of curriculum. We are looking for someone with prior experience teaching in the field of media, communications or cultural studies, and with a research interest in a field related to identity and cultural difference. Candidates will be expected to have a PhD or be near completion. Applicants must be in a position begin teaching from Friday 12 January 2018.

Your profile

Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.
