The BA(Hons) Creative Advertising with Marketing is a new program in the continuously expanding portfolio of The School of Arts and Creative Industries. It offers a Major-Minor scheme with the popular, successful and CIM accredited Marketing program at the Business School. The course offers students the skills they need in advertising and marketing to forge successful careers in the exciting and expanding digital media and communications landscape. Our new multi million pound Elephant Studios at LSBU is an interlinked media space, offering high-specification production facilities at the forefront of digital technologies, ensuring that our students have the best possible environment for developing their creative practice.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced and highly committed lecturer/senior lecturer to join the course team, who would be in a position to take on the role of Course Director. The appointee will have an understanding of current debates and issues relevant to the practice of creative advertising, and experience of integrating professional practice and research into their teaching. They will be able to evidence the impact of their practice through dissemination across academic or professional forums. They will have a sustained track record within their discipline, as well as recent and relevant industry experience.

The appointee will work as part of a team developing the curriculum, approaches to teaching and learning, and the management and internal and external profile of the course. They will facilitate the development of professional networks and maintain ongoing partnerships with advertising agencies, as an important step in boosting the employability of our graduates. They will also have excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to both inspire and guide students.
