Defiance College is currently accepting applications for the following

*Assistant Professor of Communication Studies*

Defiance College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track 
assistant professor of Communication Studies. Responsibilities include a 
24-credit per year teaching/administrative load in a variety of courses 
in the communication studies major; academic advising; curriculum 
development; scholarship leading to conference presentations and 
publication; and service to the college.

The successful candidate will have a completed doctorate in 
communications or related field for the rank of Assistant Professor. 
Candidates with ABD status will be considered but at the rank of 
Assistant Professor of Practice or Instructor. We seek a critical and/or 
rhetorical scholar with interests in public/political communication, 
media, or the intersection of both. Preference will be given to 
candidates with prior teaching experience in higher education, with 
debate teams, and aspects of media production.
