[ecrea] PhD and Research Assistant Opportunity

I am delighted to inform you of 2 x Fully-funded PhD Studentships 
(inclusive of 0.2 FTE Graduate Research Assistant role) at CAMEo 
Research Institute for Cultural and Media Economies at the University of 
Leicester.

These studentships are offered to support the development of the 
Institute’s research strands on:

• Cultural Policy and Creative Economy

• Cultural Work and Employment

• Cultural Production and Consumption

• Texts and Trends

We welcome outline PhD proposals and applications from suitably 
qualified applicants in any area of cultural and media economies but 
especially from those who can show evidence of an interest in one the 
following topics:

• Cultural industries and creative economy policy - national or 
international;

• Employment policy and practice in the cultural, creative and media 
industries;

• Equality and diversity issues in the cultural, creative and media 
industries;

• Education and training in the cultural, creative and media industries;

• Identity formation in cultural work and employment ;

• Histories of cultural work and employment;

• Cultural economies of the music industry, visual arts, West End 
theatre or dance;

• Politics, social justice and activism in cultural and media economies;

• The production and consumption of ‘craft’ in the creative industries;

• Texts, image and representation in cultural and media economies;

• International dimensions of any of the above.
