La MSH Paris Nord et Plaine Commune lance un appel à projets commun 
intitulé "Fabriquer la ville avec l'art et la culture ?". À l’heure de 
mutations sociales profondes, des transitions écologiques nécessaires et 
des enjeux du numérique, comment penser la « fabrique » des territoires 
urbains par l’art et la culture ? Et, réciproquement, comment l’art et 
la culture sont-ils aujourd’hui façonnés par les mondes urbains ?

La « fabrique » des territoires urbains, terme générique pour penser la 
ville comme processus toujours à l’œuvre et pluri-acteurs, et plus 
singulièrement, la ville portée et vécue à travers l’art et la culture, 
constitue un phénomène désormais ancien, mais dont les dimensions 
sociales, artistiques, politiques et économiques sont propres à susciter 
davantage qu’auparavant réflexions et interrogations, approches de 
terrain et dialogues interdisciplinaires.

MSH Paris Nord and Plaine Commune are launching a joint call for 
projects titled “Shaping the City Through Art and Culture?” At a time of 
profound social change, necessary ecological transitions, and digital 
challenges, how can we conceive of the “shaping” of urban territories 
through art and culture? And, conversely, how are art and culture shaped 
today by urban environments?
Deadline: September 7, 2026.

The “construction” of urban territories—a broad term used to 
conceptualize the city as an ongoing, multi-stakeholder process—and, 
more specifically, the city as experienced and brought to life through 
art and culture, is a phenomenon that has long existed. However, its 
social, artistic, political, and economic dimensions are now more likely 
than ever to spark reflection and inquiry, field-based research, and 
interdisciplinary dialogue.
