Call For Papers (CfP)

Title: “III International SPRING Conference. Sports Marketing, 
Journalism, Communications and Sponsorship: Current trends and perspectives”

Place and date: University of Malaga, Thursday February 20th and Friday, 
February 21st, 2025

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that the second full SPRING Conference will 
be hosted by our colleagues at the University of Malaga next February. 
We envisage that this will be an in - person event. The theme of the 
conference is ‘Sports Marketing, Journalism, Communications and 
Sponsorship; Current trends and perspectives’.

Abstracts and proposals (300 words maximum) are cordially invited on 
this theme, but are also welcome on the following topics:

•            Advertising, Public Relations and Sport

•            Sport and Cultural Identity

•            Current debates on Sport and Globalisation

•            The marketing of ‘Minority Sports’

•            Sport, Nationalism and Propaganda

•            Gender, Marketing and Sports

•            Sports-Washing

•            Sport Governance

Abstracts, together with your affiliation, should be sent to

September 30th, 2024.

Registration details, and all other details will be posted on the SPRING
