[Commlist] CFP: Imaginaries and Capitalism for IM@go Journal

Call for contributions of the proceedings
of the conference "Imaginaries of contemporary capitalism", hold in Pisa
on June 21-22, 2019.

The contributions – not limited to the papers
presented at the conference – will be selected on the basis of the more
pertinence to the main topic and then submitted for double blind peer
review in order to be published within December 2020 on the Journal
"Im@go" (http://cab.unime.it/journals/index.php/IMAGO).

Themes of possible interest

1. Rethinking the sociology of the imaginary / of capitalism through the classics 2. Rethinking the relationship between economics and the imaginary from a theoretical point of view 3. Analysis of the contemporary cultural industry (television series, films, literature)

4. Analysis of contemporary material culture (objects, fashion, design)

5. Imaginary as a place of domination and set of theoretical critique of capitalism 6. Is the concept of capitalism still useful today? How can the perspective of the sociology of the imagination contribute to a sociological theory of capitalism?

Every article should be
submitted with a brief abstract in English (100 words) and a short
author bio note (50 words).
Im@go publishes in Italian, English, French and Spanish.


Deadline for the submission of the articles: February, 29th, 2020
Notification of  acceptance: March 15th, 2020
Notification of reviews: April, 30th, 2020
Revised peer-reviews papers to the editors: June, 30th, 2020
Publication: December 2020
