I. International New Media and Women Symposium
Call For Papers
Conference Theme
Digital platforms have become the surroundings of carrying out
‘political actions’ as much as they have been the environment which have
been used for different learning styles, entertainment and
socialization. National and transnational digital communication means
have enabled resource diversity and immediate news receiving and
dissemination advantages to each member of the society equally. Such
significant political actions as Arab Spring have caused the New Media
to be perceived as the medium of alternative discourses primarily being
in these countries and throughout the World. Along with the
proliferation of new media tools, we have faced the reality that there
is a platform which includes much more content than media. Internet is
being used as media, shopping, rumor, matchmaking and demonstration
fields. In addition, internet is a massive information source.
This symposium aims to discover the new socialization platform with its
positive and negative sides, and the actors, dynamics, structures and
