_____
We are pleased to announce the sixth edition of *Religiocom –
International Congress on Communication and Religions*, organized by the
Graduate Program in Communication and the Graduate Program in Theology
of the Adventist University of Sao Paulo (UNASP), in partnership with
the Graduate Program in Religious Studies of the Pontifical Catholic
University of Campinas.
For its 2026 edition, the congress will focus on "The Presence of the
Religious in the Media". This central topic invites reflection on
several interconnected dimensions: the growing visibility of religious
discourses, languages, and narratives across traditional media and
digital platforms; the mediatization of faith and spiritual expressions;
the ways religious traditions and groups are represented in the public
communicational sphere; and, in light of the Brazilian election year,
the increasing intersections between communication, religions, and politics.
We invite faculty members and researchers (both graduate and
undergraduate) to submit papers aligned with the congress theme or with
one of the eight Working Groups (WGs) listed below. Submissions must be
in the *abstract format (300 to 500 words)* . Approved and presented
papers will be published in the congress proceedings (with ISBN).
