CfP for Special Issue: Influencer Relations: Detailing the Concept and
Broadening the Perspective
“Influencer Relations: Detailing the Concept and Broadening the
Perspective” is a Special Issue in the Journal of Communication
Management, guest-edited by Nils S. Borchers (University of Tübingen,
Germany) & Hanna Reinikainen (University of Helsinki Finland)
We invite submissions for a special issue that aims to advance and
deepen scholarly understanding of Influencer Relations, a concept that
remains under-explored despite its growing importance in communication
management and public relations.
This Special Issue welcomes conceptual and empirical works that:
*elaborate the theoretical foundation of Influencer Relations and/or
*apply core public relations/communication theories to influencer
contexts and/or
*explore Influencer Relations from non-functional perspectives,
including critical-cultural, social-reflective, and co-creational paradigms.
Important Deadlines:
*30 April 2026: Abstract submission
*15 May 2026: Invitations to submit full papers
*15 November 2026: Full paper submission (double-blind review)
No payment from the authorswill be required.
