How do we use Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis to form relevant 
scholarly journal articles? This advanced seminar offers step-by-step 
training in how to do Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis of 
different forms of data, including newspapers, textbooks, websites, 
policy documents, video, infographics. and product packaging.

- Advanced seminar designed for professors and graduate students 
interested in the relationships between multimodal forms of 
communication and power dynamics within society
- Admissions will be limited to 20 scholars from around the world

This seminar will be given by Professor David Machin (Shanghai 
International Studies University, China).
