*Last Call for Proposals — #IFM2026*

Join us for the 8th Interactive Film and Media Annual Conference, taking 
place June 9–12, 2026, online via Zoom.

The Interactive Film and Media Conference invites final submissions 
around the provocative and timely theme “Yet-To-Be-Known.”

In a moment marked by cascading crises—climate collapse, social 
injustice, political upheaval—uncertainty has become a defining 
condition of contemporary life. Yet the /yet-to-be-known/ need not 
signal paralysis. Instead, it opens a space for speculative inquiry, 
creative experimentation, and collective imagination.

We invite proposals that engage the /yet-to-be-known/ as:

  *

    a method of speculation and critique,

  *

    a site of emergence and transformation,

  *

    a gesture toward world-making and future-oriented practice.

We welcome contributions that explore themes such as speculative 
ecologies, more-than-human ethics, radical pedagogies, experimental 
archives, future imaginaries of care, and technologies of resistance.
