The Centre of Discourse Studies is pleased to announce our II International
Symposium: Discourses of Power, Resistance and Reaction in the Global 
Era. The purpose of the symposium is to offer an interdisciplinary 
andinternational platform for dialogue and exchange on the ideological 
anddiscursive tensions shaping today’s polarized world.

The program includes daily keynote lectures, roundtable discussions, and 
sessions featuring selected paper presentations. The official languages 
of the event are English and Spanish.

The symposium will be structured in the following three thematic days:

1. "Discourses of far-right political groups and reactionary movements: 
construction of the enemy, victimization, and radicalization"
2. "Social movement discourses: strategies of resistance, 
rearticulation, and construction of the commons"
3. "Human rights as a discursive field in dispute: resignifications, 
appropriations, and exclusions"

We invite presentation proposals aligned with one of the three thematic 
lines of the symposium specified above.
