7th MCAP Doctoral Spring School 2026

February  1 – 8 , 2026

Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi Pakistan

Association of Media and Communication Academic Professionals (MCAP) in 
collaboration with Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi is 
 organizing its 7th MCAP Doctoral Spring School 2026. It will be a 
9-day ECREA (European Communication Research and Education Association) 
 style doctoral school offering one-on-one mentoring, workshops, 
 lectures, panel discussions, seminars, projects and media 
organizations  visits. MCAP invites faculty, PhD scholars, and 
researchers to submit abstracts.

International Mentors include:

Spring School from Czech Republic)

2.    Prof. Dr. Pille Pruulmann Vengerfeldt (International Advisor for 
the MCAP Spring School from Sweden)

4.    Prof. Dr. Murat Askar (Ireland)

5.    Prof. Dr. Fatima Zahra Elsayeed (Egypt)

6.    Prof. Dr. Eddy Borges Ray (UAE)

7.    Prof. Dr. Jairo Lugo Ocando

8. Prof. Dr. Bushra Hameedur Rehman (Pakistan)

9. Dr. Jason Gainous (Kazakhstan)

10.  Prof. Dr. Abida Ashraf (Pakistan)

11. Dr. Ahmad Usman (Pakistan)


Who can apply?

You can apply in two domains.

1.    Participant (currently enrolled in PhD (Media/Communication/Social 
  Sciences with research focusing on media)

2.    Observer (aspiring PhD scholars, faculty, and media professionals)

How to apply?

•    To be part of it as a participant you need to send an abstract (no 
 more than 1500 words) to (amcap92ss /at/ gmail.com) <mailto:(amcap92ss /at/ gmail.com)>

•    To be part of it as an observer you only need to send an email to 
show  interest and intent and CV (no abstract required)

Registration Fee:

•    International Participant: 300 USD

•    International Observer: 250 USD

Fee must be paid right after receiving the acceptance letter.

Deadlines:

•    Abstract Submission for /Email for observers:  Jan 10, 2026

•    Acceptance Notification:  Jan 16, 2025
