[Commlist] Open Position: Assistant or Associate Professor at the Department of Visual Communication Design, Izmir University of Economics

The Department of Visual Communication Design at Izmir University of 
Economics is inviting applications for a full-time Assistant or 
Associate Professor position, with an expected start date of February 1, 
2026. We are seeking a dynamic and committed academic to join our 
vibrant and growing team, dedicated to mentoring responsible visual 
communication designers who can creatively respond to the challenges of 
today’s digital and experiential landscape.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in emerging 
design practices to strengthen our program in areas such as Interaction 
Design, Experience Design, Digital Media, and other related visual 
communication design disciplines. The successful candidate will be 
responsible for undergraduate teaching, contributing to curriculum 
development, and maintaining an active research agenda. Applicants must 
hold a PhD in a design-related field and demonstrate a solid track 
record of research in relevant areas. Review of applications will begin 
immediately and continue until the position is filled.
