City, University of London is continuing a strategic expansion of its 
Media and Communications offerings and seeks to appoint a Lecturer in 
MEDIA MANAGEMENT.
The *Department of Media, Culture and Creative Industries* draws 
together academic staff specialising in Advertising, Creative Writing, 
Culture and Creative Industries, English, Marketing Communication, Media 
Management, Media and Communications, Media Production, Public 
Relations, Publishing and Strategic Communication. The department is

Candidates should be able to teach and design modules across Media 
Management in a way that is industry-focused and socially relevant. 
Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to teach the 
following modules on our BA Media and Communications and our MA Media 
Management degrees (as well as other related modules, as required by the 
Department):
  * Working and Managing in the Media and Creative Industries (BA, Y2)
  * Entrepreneurship in the Media and Creative Industries (BA, Y3)
  * AI, Change and Disruption in Media Management (MA)
  * Leading and Managing People in the Media Industries (MA)
  * Professional Placements (MA & UG)
The successful applicant will have a good first degree (ideally in 
Media, Management, Business, Communication, Marketing or a related 
field) and industry-derived expertise related to Media Management, for 
example in management roles in the film, television, gaming, publishing 
or another media industry.
We are looking for a team player and enthusiastic and committed teacher 
able to engage and enthuse a diverse student body that includes 
international students as well as students from widening participation 
backgrounds.

for the education and research profile, a PhD), ideally in 
Communication, Media, Marketing, Business or a related field, and 
industry-derived expertise related to Marketing Communication, in 
particular digital marketing communication.

    Digital Content Creation (UG, Y1)
    Intermediate Editing (UG, Y2)
    Writing for Media and Communication (UG, Y2)
    Promotional Content Creation (UG, Y3)
    Audiovisual Media Production (MA)
    Digital Content Creation (for PR and Marketing) (MA)
The successful candidate will have a good first degree and expertise 
related to Media Production and Digital Content Creation.
You should have deep expertise in video production and the ability to 
teach postproduction software. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro will be 
tested at interview.
You will be a team player and have a professional background in the 
media industries and the ability to share insights from that background 
in a way that is supportive of students’ employability.
You will be able to relate to a generation of students more likely 
seeking to create content for TikTok or YouTube than submitting films 
for festivals.
