[Commlist] VIEW Assistant Journal Manager Open Position

VIEW. Journal of European Television History and Culture is looking for 
a new assistant journal manager.

Open to: PhD students, (research) master's students seeking to pursue a 
PhD or early-career researchers who are looking to gain experience with 
academic publishing, get acquainted with the process of publishing an 
academic article and who would like to expand their academic network.

The ideal candidate would have a background in television history, 
television studies, media studies or another adjacent field of study, 
and an affinity for academic publications.

​Role Description
The Assistant Journal Manager works closely with the Managing Editor, 
the Editorial Board, the Publishing Support at Sound and Vision and each 
issue's co-editors. The Assistant Journal Manager assists the Managing 
Editor and the Editorial Board to: ensure a smooth process from proposal 
stage to publication; support the review process to the shortest 
interval possible without compromising
quality; ensure that published articles meet the standards of quality of 
the journal. Please note that the Assistant Journal Manager is appointed 
for a two-year term.
