[Commlist] 12th European Conference on Social Media (ECSM 2025)

This is the Second call for papers for the 12th European Conference on 
Social Media (ECSM 2025) being hosted by ISCAP, Porto, Portugal on 22-23 
May 2025.



Abstracts are due by 30 October 2024.



The European Conference on Social Media was established 12 years ago in 
Brighton and has subsequently been held in Portugal, France, Lithuania 
and Ireland. The conference has attracted participants from more than 40 
countries and been attended by a combination of academic scholars, 
public sector workers, practitioners and individuals who are engaged in 
various aspects of the social media industry. A number of journals are 
selecting papers from the conference for further development and 
publication.

Please consider submitting to this conference. We are interested in the 
entire range of concepts from theory to practice, including case 
studies, works-in-progress, and conceptual explorations as well as both 
PhD and masters research.



As well as inviting submissions on the main themes of the conference we 
invite submissions to the specialist Mini-Tracks:



Social Media Data Storytelling Through Data Visualisation & Visual Analytics
Enhancing Higher Education through Generative AI and Social Media 
Integration

Papers accepted for the conference will be published in the conference 
proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. The Proceedings 
have an ISSN, ISBN and will be submitted for indexing in several 
databases including ISI Web of Science, Elsevier Scopus and EBSCO.



Papers published in the proceedings will be considered for further 
development and publication in the following journals:
