Extended Deadline for Applications – now September 15^th , 2024 - Award 
for Gender and Intersectional Justice in Honor of Lina Ben Mhenni

We are pleased to inform you of the launch of the Award for Gender and 
Intersectional Justice, in honor of Lina ben Mhenni, on the occasion of 
World Press Freedom Day. The award is now in its fourth edition and is 
being organized by the partners of the AREACORE network (Arab-European 
Association for Media and Communication Researchers - www.areacore.org). 
The award is aimed at recognizing graduation projects that are focused 
on themes related to the work of Lina ben Mhenni, including human rights 
and freedom of the press, media and democratization, gender and 
intersectional justice, journalism and peace studies, and social 
mobilizations. We encourage all interested individuals to apply, and we 
particularly welcome submissions from underrepresented groups. The 
deadline for submitting applications is September 1st, 2024 – now 
extended to September 15th. The awardees will be notified by November 
1st, 2024, and they will be invited to present their work in a virtual 
ceremony in December 2024. For more information about the award and how
