organizes a jubilee academic conference on the topic

*Communication in Times of Global Crises*

The conference will be held on the 28th and 29th of October 2024 within 
the framework of the St. Kliment Ohridski Days at the Faculty of 
Journalism and Mass Communication.

Communication, Public Relations and Advertisement Chair will celebrate 
the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of its bachelor and master 
programs in public relations at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. 
The academic education in public relations started in the academic year 
1994-1995 when the Chair was also established. The philosophy of 
education and academic research in communication, public relations and 
advertisement at the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of 
Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is related to the high public 
responsibility of the profession of public relations and to the 
importance of the communication specialists as moderators between 
governmental, public and private institutions, on the one hand and the 
public, on the other.

We welcome all topics related to the current global crises, including 
political, economic, social, cultural, philosophical and educational 
aspects of the crises and the resulting challenges in communication. The 
languages of the conference are English and Bulgarian.

There is no tax for participation at the conference but the Faculty of 
Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University “St. Kliment 
Ohridski” does not provide any support for travel and accommodation for 
the participants at the conference.

               Applications to the conference should be sent at the

They should include the title, up to 250 words summary of the paper and 
up to 5 key words.

The deadline for the applications to the conference is May, 31^st , 2024.

               After the conference the papers will be included into a 
jubilee book of the Chair.
