FADE IN 2024: CREATIVE POSTPRODUCTION IN FOCUS

2nd International Symposium of Visual and Sonic Creations
23rd to 25th of May 2024, Ljubljana, Slovenia

We kindly invite you to the 2nd instalment of the FADE IN symposium that 
aims to intertwine professional and academic experiences on topics of 
post-production in audiovisual media production and consumption, 
covering the artistic fields of film and television editing, sound 
design, colour and visual effects.

This year’s focus is on:

   * film restoration and the aims of retaining intended aesthetics in 
the post-produciton of restored copies (case study of Life of a Shock 
Force Worker, directed by Bahrudin Čengić in 1972)

   *  the mechanism of dramatic storytelling for TV series and using 
paradox as one of the leading storyline approaches

   * the art and technology of colour grading: ACES, scene-referred 
colour pipelines, colour-managed frameworks

   * immersive sound design

!!! NOTICE TO STUDENTS !!!
The organiser may be able to help a select number of students enrolled 
in study programmes in line with the topic of the conference by 
partially covering the expenses of their attendance at the conference. 
Students are encouraged to contact us at (fadein /at/ dppu.org) as soon as 
possible.
