[Commlist] Imidibaniso Exchange: Media Insights for Scientists & Scientific Researchers

The *South African Research Chair in Science Communication* is hosting 
its second */Imidibaniso Exchange/*, an annual one-day media and 
communications workshop for scientists, scientific 
researchers,academics, and colleagues who work in any sphere of the 
sciences. Previously known as the Imidibaniso Bootcamp, the 
/Exchange/ offers a comprehensive and interactive snapshot of 
best-practice communication tools and strategies to help share research 
with a wider audience and enhance public engagement efforts.

Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to 
participate in a crash course covering various forms of media and 
communication. There will also be talks and inputs from media and 
communication experts, interactive exercises, exposure to strategies and 
methods used by successful communicators, tips, and tools for 
effectively using social media, strategies for finding collaborators, 
and an introduction to key media concepts. The Exchange takes place on 9 
February 2024 at STIAS, Stellenbosch University.
