The International Conference on Communication and Applied Technologies 
(ICOMTA, 2024), will be hosted by the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias 
Aplicadas (Lima, Peru), on the 4th to 6th September 2024.

Themes and scope
========
ICOMTA’24 – The IV International Conference on Communication and Applied 
Technologies 2024 has as organizing entities the Colombian Association 
of Journalism and Science Communication (Colombia) and the Universidad 
Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (Peru); and as collaborators at the 
Universidade de Vigo (Galicia, Spain), Universidade de Santiago de 
Compostela-Equipo de Investigaciones Políticas (Galicia, España), the 
University of Malaga, International Media Management Academic 
Association (IMMAA), and the International Research Network of 
Communication Management (XESCOM) and WAPOR Latinoamérica. Topics that 
are especially encouraged for ICOMTA 2024 are:

* Digital communication and processes
* Software, big data, data mining and intelligent systems
* Communication, Health, Politics and Technologies. Automation, bots and 
algorithms
* Fact-checking experiences in Europe and Latin America at the service
    of journalism: comparative perspective
* Persuasion and emotion: analysis of language, content and artificial
    intelligence.
* Freedom of expression, ethics and transparency in the digital society
* Digital social networks
* Innovation, university teaching and technology
Accepted papers will be published, in English, in a Smart Innovation, 
Systems and Technologies book (Scopus, Q3). Or they will be published in 
an Atlantis Press book (part of Springer Nature), of the Atlantis 
Highlights in Social Sciences, Education and Humanities series, indexed 
in CPCI (part of Clarivate’s Web of Science). In Spanish, the accepted 
papers will be published in Tirant Lo Blanch. None of these publications 
will require APC to be paid. All the accepted proposals in the 
conference will have to cover a registration fee, depending on the type 
of participation, as it is explained on the following link:
