The main aim of the Gamehearts project is to explore the value of the European (mainland and UK) videogame industry ecosystem within the wider context of the creative and cultural industries. It  will establish the importance of the European videogame industry in contributing to economic growth, job creation, physical and mental well-being, and social and cultural cohesion, with a particular concern about how a stronger and closer working relationship between more the traditional and emergent cultural sectors could work better to create more inclusive, and socially responsible, cultural experiences.

The Salford project team is:

Prof Garry Crawford (PI)

Dr Gaynor Bagnall (Co-I)

Dr Victoria Gosling (Co-I)

Prof Seamus Simpson (Co-I)

Dr Maria Stukoff (Co-I)

The posts will be based in the Directorate of Social Policy, Sociology, and Criminology in the School of Health and Society at the University of Salford.
