"2nd  International Symposium on Women in Audiovisual Culture"
Dear Researchers,

We are thrilled to share news about the 2nd International Symposium on 
Women in Audiovisual Culture, scheduled for April 17-19 this year. 
Proudly organised in collaboration with the Cinema and Television and 
Public Relations and Advertising programs at Istanbul Okan University, 
the event promises to be a significant milestone in addressing the 
sexist aspects of our audiovisual world
Event Details:
- Istanbul Okan University (First Two Days)
- Salt Galata (Third Day)

This platform welcomes artists, researchers, academicians, and all 
enthusiasts eager to share their examinations and surveys, making the 
invisible visible.

Theme of the Year: The inaugural year will focus on the impact and role 
of the woman identity in creation, administration, consumption, 
experimentation, and archiving within the audiovisual culture. We look 
forward to receiving your papers in these related fields.

Call for Papers: Submit your abstracts via the symposium’s website by 
February 10th. The symposium accepts submissions in both Turkish and 
English. All papers undergo blind peer review, and accepted abstracts 
will be published online in the symposium’s e-book, with full texts 
included in the symposium book.

Submission Deadline: February 10, 2025
Announcement of Accepted Papers: March 10, 2025
Program Announcement: March 31, 2025
Symposium Date: April 17-19, 2025
