The School of International Communications is now seeking exceptional
scholars to join us as Teaching Fellows/Assistant Professors/Associate
Professors/Professors in the following disciplinary areas:
Immersive sound;
VR/XR; Digital Heritage;
Media Production and Post-Production;
Digital Humanities; Games studies.
About the School
This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of International
Communications at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, a top
recognized Media and Communication School in China and Asia. The school
excels in teaching, social impact, and interdisciplinary studies and is
affiliated to the Department of Culture, Media and Visual Studies at the
Nottingham UK campus.
Research at the School of International Communications is vibrant and
multi-disciplinary. Our dynamic and collegial team is active in the
fields of media and communication studies, film and television studies,
journalism, mobile studies, and game studies. Our academics publish in
highly-rated international journals and are the recipients of various
international awards for teaching and research.
We have been graduating students for more than fifteen years and our
alumni have continued their education in some of the worlds leading
universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, worked for companies like
Google or LOreal as well as having their creations broadcasted on HBO or
awarded at the Busan International Film Festival.
About You
The School of International Communications at the University of
Nottingham Ningbo China has entered a period of growth in terms of
research activities, student numbers, and engagement with industries and
it is developing a Virtual Production Studio in collaboration with ARRI
as well as a Dolby Atmos studio. We are looking, therefore, for talented
scholars to join our friendly, vibrant, and collegial team and help us
in this exciting new development.
We are interested in hearing from candidates who share our values of

The applicant can be at any stage of their career with expertise and
research interests in the following areas: Immersive sound; VR/XR;
Digital Heritage; Media Production and Post-Production; Digital
Humanities; Games studies.
Exceptional candidates from other areas of Communication and Media
studies will also be considered.

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support
The successful candidate will be offered a five-year contract that may
be extended by mutual agreement. We are committed to providing
