La Universidad Rey Juan Carlos organiza el simposio ‘La mediatización de
la rabia de las mujeres’ el 30 de junio de 2023.
La jornada forma parte de las iniciativas desarrolladas bajo el proyecto
I+D “Mediatización de la rabia de las mujeres: marcos de inteligibilidad
y estrategias comunicativas de transformación politizadora”
(PID2020-113054GB-I00).
El simposio estará centrado en:
1- entender y caracterizar cómo y desde qué posiciones se
visibiliza/nombra la ira, el enfado o la indignación de las mujeres
2- detectar y/o apuntar hacia nuevas estrategias narrativas que permiten
a las mujeres habitar dicha ira de modos no estigmatizados y
políticamente productivos, o en palabras de Soraya Chemaly en Rage
becomes her: The power of women’s anger(2018), desarrollar una “anger
competence” .

A one day symposium on ‘The mediatization of women’s rage’ will take
place at University Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid) on June 30th 2023.
The symposium is part of the initiatives developed under the Spanish R&D
project "The mediatization of women's rage: frames of intelligibility
and communicative strategies of politicizing transformation"
(PID2020-113054GB-I00).
During the symposium we will be focusing on:
1- understanding and characterizing how and from which positions women's
rage, anger and/or indignation is made visible/intelligible
2- tracing and/or proposing emerging narrative strategies that enable
women to occupy the space of the rage in non-stigmatized and politically
productive manners or, as Soraya Chemaly observes in Rage becomes her:
The power of women’s anger(2018), to develop an "anger competence".
