This book is based on Zhun Gu"s Ph.D. thesis, submitted to the University of Nottingham in 2019. This book examines new media texts and different media genres,presents various forms of screen nostalgia, and critically engages with Chinese social transformation.

This book reflects on China's social transformation in the past forty years,at the same time is also generated from a personal nostalgia about home,family and countryside.
