[Commlist] International Virtual Conference cfp: Changing Media Landscapes in South Asia

We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Media Studies, 
Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) is organizing an International 
Virtual Conference on 6thMarch, 2023.

The theme for the 2023 virtual conference is Changing Media Landscapes 
in South Asia.  The South Asian region is positioned at the heart of 
enormous socio-politico-cultural transformations that are repeatedly 
captured by the rising rates of consumption, population, unemployment, 
aspiration, urbanization, inequality and conflicts within the region. 
Moreover, the media plays a significant role in shaping public opinion 
day in and day out and this region has become host to scores of 
streaming platforms, churning contents with  regional and global 
flavors, resulting in  new transactional cultures. This conference seeks 
to map the changing media landscapes in South Asia and to understand the 
plurality of its disruptive force. Furthermore, with a special focus on 
communications fields, streaming, production, circulation and 
consumption of OTT Platforms. The conference also intends to inspire 
young scholars, academicians, researchers, teachers and students for a 
collaborative learning which results in a comprehensive understanding of 
the changing media landscapes in the South Asian Regions and developing 
creative insights for a better world.

The conference inspires young scholars, academicians, researchers, 
teachers and students to contribute to the vision of contributing 
solutions for a better world.
