64.3 of
<https://liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/toc/extr/64/3>/Extrapolation
<https://liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/toc/extr/64/3>/ is a curated
issue focussing on SF, Posthumanism and New Materialism. Along with the
texts they study, these essays look at who and what is there, populating
the categories of the human and the posthuman, presenting perspectives
that are constitutively partial because they are situated: that is, they
are racialized, ethnic, gendered, historical, geographical, and
cultural. The essays collected here demonstrate attentiveness and care
to the cost and culpability of bodies from within scenes of adaptation
and endurance. They clarify what recent speculative fiction might teach
us about embodied difference and asymmetries of power precisely when
vastly complex entanglements and looming planetary death seem to erase
difference.
